Storefront rounds before nine, houses after, no backtracking.

Window cleaners juggle quick storefront maintenance stops with long residential jobs. StopHarbor plans both in one day, keeps early storefronts inside their window, and gives each crew a list in driving order.

Two kinds of work in one day

A storefront round is many short stops: fifteen minutes of squeegee work on glass doors and display windows, ideally before the shop opens. A residential job can take three hours with ladders, screens and tracks. Planning both by hand usually means a crew finishes the storefronts on one side of town and then drives across it for the first house.

How window cleaners set up StopHarbor

  • Give storefronts an arrive-before time such as 9:00 so the round happens before customers arrive.
  • Set minutes on site per job: 10 to 20 for storefronts, 90 to 240 for houses depending on pane count and screens.
  • Use Most stops today to cap a solo cleaner, and Leaves at for a crew starting at 6:30.
  • Save the monthly storefront round as a plan and duplicate it next month; the order and notes carry over.

Ladders, water-fed poles and the right truck

When only one truck carries the water-fed pole system or the tall ladder, pin those jobs to that crew by putting their name in the Worker column of your import. Everything else is shared out around them. Easiest driving keeps trucks with ladder racks on main roads where possible.

Weather days

Rain pushes a day's residential jobs back. Remove them, recalculate, and the remaining storefront maintenance redistributes across the crews who are still working. Unfinished jobs stay in the plan for the next dry day.

Questions

Can storefronts be finished before opening time?

Yes. Give each storefront an arrive-before time. The route is planned to reach it inside the window and any storefront that cannot make it is listed with the reason.

Do you do quoting or invoicing?

No. StopHarbor is a route planner. Keep your quoting and invoicing tool and import its job list each day or week.

What does it cost for two crews?

Solo is $19 a month for one worker and up to 40 stops per calculation. Team is $59 a month for up to ten route workers, three signed-in seats and 80 stops in total per calculation. The 14-day trial includes 300 stop computations.
