StopHarbor

Home / Industries

Dispatch the day's service calls in order, with windows customers were promised.

Service calls come with promised arrival windows and very different job lengths. StopHarbor plans each technician's day around both, so the window you gave the customer is the one the tech actually hits.

Windows first, everything else around them

Give each booked call its window, like 8 to 12 or 12 to 4, and its expected time on site. Maintenance visits without a window fill the gaps. StopHarbor calculates arrival times along each route, shows any wait before a window opens, and flags a stop that would arrive late, so you can move it before the customer calls.

Techs who start from home

Many service techs take the van home. Set each technician's own start address, and their finish if it differs, and the route begins there instead of the shop. Set a leave time per technician when someone starts later.

Pin the calls that need a specific tech

  • Pin a commercial refrigeration call to the one certified technician.
  • Leave the rest on Auto so StopHarbor balances them by distance.
  • Set a stop limit for a technician who is only running half a day.
  • Mark emergency calls high priority so they are kept first if the day overflows.

Hand-off without a dispatch app

Each technician gets a private route link that works on any phone: stops in order, arrival times, notes such as "unit in attic, bring ladder", and navigation. They can mark jobs done and leave a note for the office. Links expire after seven days and can be revoked at any time.

Honest limits

StopHarbor plans and hands off routes. It is not a field service management suite with quoting, invoicing or inventory. If you run a suite whose routing frustrates you, export the day's jobs to CSV, plan them here, and keep the suite for billing.

Questions

Can I promise customers an arrival window?

Yes. Windows are honored when routes are planned, and the route shows clock-time arrival estimates. Drive times use typical traffic rather than live conditions, so leave sensible slack.

What happens to a call that cannot fit today?

It is listed under the routes with the reason, for example that it could not be reached inside its window. Widen the window, start a technician earlier or add a technician, then optimize again.

Do technicians need accounts?

No. On Team, each technician gets a private, expiring link to only their own route. Office staff who plan routes use the three signed-in seats.
